The MotoCrane Team

Zachary Nelson, Chief Executive Officer

Zach holds the vision that guides MotoCrane. Before founding MotoCrane, he worked as a commercial Director of Photography. Zach ensures MotoCrane is always delivering on our promise with ground-breaking technology.

Lauren McMarlin, Chief Operations Officer

Lauren is the unstoppable force behind MotoCrane's operations. Her degrees in Economics and Statistics bring analytics and data-driven insight into our focus.

Dan Mariette, Sales & Marketing Manager

Dan has a unique blend of filmmaking prowess, automotive enthusiasm, and electronics expertise. If he isn’t assembling motor controllers, he’s probably operating camera for new MotoCrane videos.

Longtua Yang, Shop Assistant

Long is an automotive and technology enthusiast, who uses his skills to assemble MotoCrane products with speed and precision. In addition to his work at MotoCrane, he hopes to pursue a degree in Computer Science and/or Cyber Security.

Dave Clapp, Shop Manager

Dave has a background in Project Management and Diesel Technologies. With this blend of skills he keeps the parts coming in and the units moving out. When he is not tinkering with house projects he is spending time with his pets or working in the garden.

Michael Olson, Mechatronics Engineer

Michael is an electrical engineer who brings design experience from multiple industries and is interested in all things technology and system design. Outside of work he likes driving/fixing cars and making Christmas lights dance to music.

Eric Miklausich, Mechanical Engineer

Eric comes from a background in machine design, automation, and motion control systems. With an Engineering Mechanics degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, he focuses on elevating MotoCrane’s mechanical designs to reach new levels of strength, durability, and reliability. Erics’s hobbies include working on his CNC router at home, video games, and weight lifting.

Neil Walsh, Embedded Systems Engineer

Neil is a computer engineer focused on firmware development. He recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a coursework emphasis and internship experience in Embedded Systems. While not in the office he enjoys fixing and riding bicycles, playing a variety of instruments and tinkering with audio equipment.

Nikki Katzke, Mechanical Engineering Intern

Nikki is a Junior at the University of Minnesota studying Aerospace Engineering, where she is also lead of the robotics team competing in the NASA Lunabotics challenge. At MotoCrane she assists the engineering team with computer-aided design, testing, and assembly of MotoCrane products. Outside of work she enjoys 3D-printing projects and practicing with a community band that she plays saxophone with.
